"All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name." Selah." Psalms 66:4 (NASB)
If you traveled far enough in space you would start to hear radio transmissions from decades ago. If you traveled far enough out you would encounter the first television broadcast that is still shooting out into space. Sound is projecting everywhere and it’s not stopping. But it’s not endless; it’s still bound to time. Heaven is not bound to time. When singing, “Let my song join the one that never ends,” we’re singing a song that is eternally present and eternally in the future. It’s the song that has been sung since the dawn of creation. It’s similar to the lyrics in the song “Lord, I Need You,” that say, “Teach my song to rise to you.” A lot of us think the song of our lives will come to a close at some point but it doesn’t have to, because of the resurrection of Jesus. The things that we anthem here on earth have the opportunity to echo into eternity. That’s exciting news.
