"Christ Is Risen" Video & Free Sheet Music 02.11.2010
WorshipTogether.com is offering free sheet music for two more Matt Maher songs this week - "Christ Is Risen" (just in time for Easter!) and "Alive Again."

Also, watch the New Song Cafe video for "Christ Is Risen," where Matt shares the message and inspiration behind the song and plays a bit as well!

Matt, I believe I caught a neat article from Worship Together.com on "Christ is Risen." In it you had spoken more about the song and gave a scripture reference. I was unable to find the article as of today (16 March). Would you mind sharing that story again? Thanks!

Worship Together is also offering the sheet music for "On the third day". But I cannot find the actual song anywhere to buy the download. Where can I find a recording of that song?

Matt - would you consider recording an acoustic version of Alive Again? I heard you at BreakForth in Edmonton - your voice was so powerful and pure in it's raw form. Tremendous skill.

Hey, Matt!
I don't know if you read this stuff here or not, but just a quick comment anyway...Saw your tweet today about your hair maybe being the same material as Drag and I just have to say, stop being so selfconscious about your hair!! I saw you 3 times this year (LIFT, Lowell, MA, and FOCUS) and I'm pretty sure you mentioned your hair on all 3 occasions. I know you joke about it, but it seems like it's because you're selfconscious, and you really don't need to be -- you're a good looking guy. Nerdy perhaps, well, definitely, but good looking nonetheless ;)

Hi Matt,

I really like Christ is Risen, but I'm confused why you changed "redeeming us from the grave" in the liturgy to "come and rise up from the grave". It doesn't seem to make sense to sing that as Christians, as we're already risen with Christ. Any help, so I can get my head round it and teach the song to my church?

Matt, Dont stop singing! Your Grace is Enough just changed my life! I felt so much love while listening to that song! God bless you!

I watched the Christ Is Risen video. Now if I can just figure out how to play those chords! Thanx for making it look so simple.

Heard Christ is Risen for the first time

Matt,
You have been blessed with the great gift of music. I have found a strong connection with the music you play, and how you use it to praise God. You will be visiting Rockford, OH in March and I'll be there watching...needless to say that I'm really really excited. I first watched you in person at National Catholic Youth Conference in Missouri. After you performed at an Aduration session, my friend and I went "backstage" towards the curtain hoping that you would be able to talk with us and for you to sign my shirt and CDs. We waited patiently, you saw me a few times waiting, but unfortunately we never got the chance to talk. Kemi told me to be brave and just walk up to you...and when I did you somehow disappeared behind the curtain and a man told us to leave and that you were busy. Since you are one of my favorite musicians, I was totally bummed. And to top it off, when I went up to the booth where you were supposed to be signing and talking to people, you weren't there either. :( I guess the whole reason I'm telling this story is because I hope one day I can meet and talk with you sometime. You are a big inspiration to me. I want to major in Music Education once I enter into college, and still stayed involved in the church. I want to use the talents God has given me musically to inspire others and to help others grow in their faith. I have had a hard life to get where I am today, but listening to you play and listening to God has let me know that I made the right decision to stay true to myself. I come from a small town that basically revolves around sports, and for someone to like music-it was totally not cool, and nerdy. No one really liked me or what I thought God put me onto this planet to do-play music. I was teased, bullied, put-down, threatened-you name it, people did it to me. And I never did anything to these students besides be Amanda, and of course that was not enough. It took a lot for me to get out of this rut of depression, fear, and self-pity, but when I got more involved with my faith God pulled me out. I'm forever grateful for what the Lord has done me. I'm now completely okay with using everything God has given me and not worrying about others. And I have had so many great opportunities and have by-passed anything those bullies have ever achieved. It feels good to finally be a true disciple of God-and I'm finding that the music I share is making an impact on others...it's a truly amazing experience. With the help of my youth minister, Kevin Musser, whom you have talked with before, I am able to use my music in a variety of different places. And at your Rockford concert, my best friend and I will be in the front row cheering you on! Actually we will be there hours early just to get the best seat. I hope I get to meet you someday and talk about music. :) Keep up the great ministry and music you are doing.

Matt,
God has truely blessed you with pure talent. Thank you for using it for his glory and sharing with us.
